Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive form of energy healing therapy. The traditional system of Reiki emerged out of Japan through Mikao Usui, and most practitioners, including myself can be traced to this Usui lineage. Through light hands on touch or distant treatments, Reiki works through our body’s energy fields to induce deep relaxation, allowing the body to be receptive to healing and restoring balance to the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is now becoming more acceptable and recognized in traditional medical facilities, being practiced by more medical professionals such as nurses and doctors in hospital and clinical settings and is being used to:

  • Provide relief to chronic conditions such as Pain, Fibromyalgia and more..

  • Induce sleep and promote relaxation for persons having challenges with Stress, Anxiety & Depression.
  • Promote quicker recovery from injuries and surgical procedures.
  • Ease restlessness and provide peace to individuals at near end of life

Sessions last between 30 – 60 minutes.

Lymphedema is a chronic swelling that can occur anywhere in the body but is most often found in the arms and legs. It happens when the lymphatic system is not draining fluid properly, causing it to accumulate.

Primary Lymphoedema is caused by developmental issues with the lymphatic vessels and is sometimes inherited.

Secondary lymphoedema is as a result of insult to the lymphatics this is as a result of lymph node removal, mastectomies, lumpectomies, radiation, infection or trauma to the limbs.

The gold standard for treatment of Lymphoedema is Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)

CDT is a four part treatment consisting of:
